AM Quartex offers a number of different viewers to display assets in platform. Using leading technologies in the library and archives field, the interface enables deep zoom for up-close interrogation of assets and streaming of audio and video files. 

Image Viewer with Deep Zoom

Open Seadragon

AM Quartex features the OpenSeadragon image viewer which allows rotation and deep zoom of all images. It also features a browse facility for compound assets on the left-hand side of the viewer.

'Browse thumbnails' and a pageturner both display, to enable navigation within a compound object, whether composed of images, audio or video files.

In-platform Streaming

VideoJS Player

Users can play audio and video files using the built-in player, and all transcribed assets feature closed captioning. Transcripts also enable navigation within an asset via timecoded segments, enabling users to jump to search results. The player can be toggled widescreen or fullscreen.

IIIF-compliant Mirador Viewer

 

AM Quartex includes an option for users of published websites to view content using an alternative image viewer, Mirador, using open-source technology developed by the International Image Interoperability Framework. Mirador offers multiple viewing options including a Book View, which allows display of double page spreads, and a Gallery view, which offers vertical scrolling through compound assets.
